It was a year of adjustments for both kids, but they did great and learned so much. I am so proud of them and their accomplishments. I now have a first grader and a second grader. I picked them up at school today so we could celebrate with milkshakes from Steak ‘n Shake. Delicious!!

Jared was up this year. I love this time. The kids are still young enough to enjoy singing to their parents. The classes did some songs that Beka did last year, but there were some new ones too. They sang about 3 songs about the alphabet. One was the backward alphabet and I loved it. Jared looked like he was having so much fun up there. He was really nervous when I took him to his classroom, but once they started singing he got into it and had fun.

The kids school is having a Spirit Week. The first day of Spirit Week was silly hats. The kids and I spent about an hour on Sunday making our silly hats. Beka and Jared loved doing this. They both had great ideas. The hats turned out silly and both kids were proud of their creations.

Beka was just as excited as yesterday. Full of energy and rushing to get to school. Jared was a little anxious and excited all rolled up into one big ball of energy. He was restless all morning waiting for the time to go. I am sure they will both do great at school, right now it is just a little hard to let them go.
