Yesterday was a busy day. It started out normal. We went to school, we came home, and we played outside. At 4:30, Beka comes running up the stairs shouting, “Mommy, it is stuck in my ear!” She had been playing the with this little piece of plastic stuff. She had put it in her ear to show me it fit earlier. I said, ” I see it fits but don’t put it in your ear.” I left it at that and went on. But, of course, she didn’t listen. So we made a quick trip to the prompt care where they got it out and all is well with her ear.
That wouldn’t have been so bad except Andrew and I actually had plans to go out. Fortunately, everything work out and we still got to go to the Celtic Woman concert. It was wonderful! We were in the seventh row. The music was wonderful. I really enjoyed myself.

We are on spring break here which was nice until the temperatures decided to drop below freezing again. Luckily we played outside alot before that happened. Also, I had projects planned for the kids to do so we have been keeping busy around here. And we also got haircuts for the kids; Jared no longer looks like a shaggy boy. Hopefully, I can get Andrew to get a haircut before Sunday.
When it was nice, we painted pictures outside on the easel and spent lots of time riding bikes.
Today, we made Easter cookies and decorated them with icing. We also colored a few Easter eggs. It was fun but busy.
These are the cookies before we started.
Jared was very intent when decorating his cookies and they turned out well.
Beka was more artistic in the design of her cookies. She really took her time to get them to look the way she wanted.
Jared was even willing to offer advice and his extra icing. It is so nice when they do actually share with each other.
Now, I just need to think of some activities for the rest of the week.

My little man is 4 and joyously happy to be so. He just loved celebrating his birthday. He got lots of toys which he is loving to play with. They are keeping him occupied since it got so cold lately. Andrew and I gave him a batting tee for his birthday which I think was more for us than him. We just can’t seem to pitch in a way the kids can catch. Jared would get so frustrated with us. He, of course, picked Faziolis for his birthday supper. We had a good time.
.
For some reason he thinks you have to tap your bat on the ground before you can swing the bat.
He really can hit the ball far. I had to move where the tee was in the yard out of fear that he was going to hit it over the back fence.
