The past weekend and beginning of this week have been wonderful. It truly feels like spring outside. And yes, I know it is coming to an end soon, but I am not going to think about it. The kids and I have spent more time outdoors than indoors over the past days. Beka pranced around the house in her cheerleader outfit one day.

Also, both Jared and Beka needed new bikes, since it was so nice we went out Saturday and got bikes for them.

Last year Jared wanted nothing to do with his bike. He would rather ride in the wagon than try to ride his bike. He has had a complete turn around this year. He loves to ride. He loves to pedal as fast as he can up and down the hills, especially down the hills. He is having a little trouble learning to brake, but we are working on it. It just amazes me how much his attitude has changed and how fast he is catching on.
In an effort to get them both to spend as much time outside as possible, we have brought anything and everything outside. Beka is all about art and drawing right now. So notebooks, markers, stencils, and colored pencils have all been brought outside. She first observes the birds and then sits down to try to draw them.

She really has fun doing all of her art work. Jared has brought out toys that can now climb trees and hide around the rocks.

His imagination is growing by leaps and bounds. He has the cutest pretend mommy voice. One thing has not changed at all since last year…Jared can still swing for hours if you let him and have the energy to keep pushing.
