Lazy….

There are times when I am really good at keep this blog current and then there are times like this month where I totally forget about the blog. As I sit here, I realize that we have been so busy doing things that I have forgotten to take the time and enjoy those things. So here are a few things that we did this month.

School is going well for all parties. Beka and Jared’s teachers did fall checklists for them. Beka is right on track, helpful, and empathetic. Jared is right on track but needs to learn how to share. No surprises there. But in the month since these checks, Jared has been getting along better with his classmates and his sister.

The month of November has been focused on thankfulness. Jared is thankful for lions, sharks, and turtles. Beka is thankful for God, the world, her life, bees, and bears. Sometimes, I don’t know where my children come up with these things. Oh and Beka’s Indian name is singing bull.

At home, we have been trying to think of things to do inside besides watch TV or fight with each other. The newest thing is to build an obstacle course in the basement. Jared is totally into this. He helps set the course up and then runs it over and over again sometimes pruposefully messing up just so he can try to do it better. We have spent some time raking leaves outside and jumping in them. I have some wonderful pictures of that and will try to get them posted tonight or tomorrow. OH and having a fireplace for the first time is so nice. Andrew has so much fun building the fire and keeping it going. I think it relaxes him in the evening.

We are looking forward to spending time with family over the holiday weekend.

Halloween

It was cold out last night when the kids and Daddy went out trick or treating. I was smart and stayed home in the warmth. We had about 50 trick or treaters. There were some really cute costumes. The picture below is of the kids right before they left the house. We tried to dress them warmly.
