Nasty Day Outside
It has been raining outside all day. I have been trying to keep the kids occupied. We played with playdough, ran some errands, drew pictures, and then I was out of ideas. So one of them, I can’t remember who, suggested we play hide and seek. I said okay. We played with all of us counting and then it was my turn to count. Both kids ran off to hide and yes I will admit it I may have counted a little longer than actually necessary. Jared hid under the covers on my bed so I, of course, tickled him and then found him. I was standing right next to the bed when suddenly something grabbed my foot. I screamed so loud! I had visions of mice or a huge cockroach or I don’t know what but it had to be yicky. Then I hear the giggling of my daughter. She was hiding under the bed and grabbed my foot. “Mommy, I scared you”, she said while trying not to giggle. I have to admit it was funny.
