Mommy’s little birdies

Today the kids were outside playing and saw a dove picking up different pieces of sticks and grass. Then the dove would choose one and fly off. Beka asked what the bird was doing so I explained about how a bird builds its nest.

They thought building a nest was a GREAT idea. So we brainstormed what would make the best nest for people. We gathered blankets and pillows. And we had to have toys so we wouldn’t get bored.

Beka has been dying all summer to have a picnic so we turned the nest into a picnic spot and had lunch outside. It was a very enjoyable morning.

Long time no blog

Anyway, I can’t believe I let it go almost a month with out blogging. Let’s see what has happened.

Beka wrote her first short story at the age of 4 all about birds. We joined the YMCA. The pool has been great. Beka is also on an arts and crafts streak.
Jared is finally getting the idea of toilet training. He is not there yet but we are definitely making progress. For Father’s day, Jared and Andrew got matching superman shirts. It is just too cute to see them both dressed alike.

Andrew went on a trip to Texas. He enjoyed himself but didn’t win me any cool gifts. :-)
I just read Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich and loved it. Well, I gotta go. The kids want to go play in the sprinkler
