Busy weekend as usual. On Sunday I did announcements at Church so we had to take separate cars so I could stay for 2nd service. The church is growing too fast for us to keep up. It’s not uncommon for me to ask someone if they’re new and have them respond, “No, I’ve been here 6 months.”
Beka skipped her nap on Sunday and came outside to help Jen and I pick up branches from the yard. We have 2 “ugly trees” that grow like weeds. I had to hack them down a bit to keep them from growing up over the house and invading the gutters. I got to use my battery-powered reciprocating saw (home depot gift cards for christmas are great) quite a bit. We all got covered with sticky sap and had to take a mid-day shower.
After that, we took a walk and went past the Pastor Jim’s place. They live a block over from us and were having an open house. They had a big huge chocolate lab for over 10 years. All I’ve got to say is stanley steemer knows how to get a job done. Their carpets looked great. Can’t say the same for my own. I’ll have to check them out in a couple of weeks.
In the evening, the Gibbs stopped by to chat for awhile. They were in the neighborhood after finishing off Reggie’s gift card to weaver ridge golf course. He said S. was doing better so that was good to hear.
I finished off the weekend with 2 episodes of Quantum leap season 1 on DVD after the kids went to bed.
