Butcher paper and Turtle Sleds

It was a rainy Saturday and a busy day at the Westberg household. Lots of fun was had by all. One special event was that mom taped a big piece of butcher paper to the new kitchen table and let Beka and Jared color it.

Later, there was a break in the rain so I took the kids outside to play. We started out playing in the turtle sandbox. Later, Beka flipped the lid over like a sled and said, “Pull me Daddy”. The plastic turtle shell on the wet grass made quite a good sled. I whipped Both Beka and Jared around the front yard tree a few times.

We headed off to Fazoli’s for dinner which is a family favorite. We walked in the door, and both kids ran up to the breadstick lady and gave her a hug. I guess she had made an impression on them the last time we were there. Or maybe they just like old ladies who bring them food they like. I don’t have a picture, but it was priceless.
